Welcome to Out of Office Curated issue two: the LAX issue! I am excited to spend this issue talking about a city I love.

You shouldn’t be surprised that Los Angeles is the focus of my first guide. I have called it home for almost twenty years and have written about it exclusively for five. This is an excellent opportunity to share some of the things I have learned with all of you.

Los Angeles is a horribly misunderstood city. Through This Ugly Beautiful City, I have happily changed people’s minds about L.A., helping tourists and locals experience the city's unique qualities.

I hope this issue inspires you to travel to Los Angeles. I am always here to help you plan a trip.

Travel Tips from a Traveler

Theme: Airports & Art

Did you know that LAX isn't the only airport in L.A.

LAX isn’t the only airport in Los Angeles. It is our most famous and busiest airport, but it is also the airport Angelenos love to hate. From confusing LAXit to neverending construction and no convenient way to get between terminals, it seems like a small house that keeps adding additions. Locals say you can tell if someone loves you if they offer to pick you up from LAX.

Burbank (BUR) is the best airport to go to Universal Studios, Hollywood, and Downtown Los Angeles.

Long Beach Airport (LGB) is an excellent option for going to Disney.

Find the best exhibitions in one site!

Exh.Cat is the best website for finding exhibitions around the United States. Instead of visiting every museum site in Los Angeles, Chicago, or Dallas, you can go here for a comprehensive list of all the exhibits in a city. What a time saver!
